About Whole Motion Therapy & Wellness
Welcome to Whole Motion Therapy & Wellness, PLLC, where movement, development, and well-being come together.
Founded by physical therapist Marlene Mireles, DPT, Whole Motion is built on the belief that healthcare should be personal, purposeful, and centered around individuals and families.
Why Choose Whole Motion?
  • Personalized Care: One-on-one attention and treatment tailored to your needs and goals.
  • Whole-Body Approach: Looking beyond symptoms to address factors affecting movement and function.
  • Care Centered Around You: Our cash-based model allows treatment recommendations to reflect your needs rather than insurance limitations.
  • Functional Progress: Practical strategies that support mobility, development, and everyday activities.
  • Family Wellness: Educational resources, parent guidance, and children's books that encourage healthy development and emotional growth.
More Than Therapy: Helping Families Grow
We believe wellness extends beyond the therapy session. This belief inspired The Sad Sloth and How He Changed His Story, the first book in the planned Grow with Sam series. Through stories and activities, we hope to help children explore big feelings, build healthy habits, and develop skills for everyday life.
Our mission is to support individuals and families through movement, education, and meaningful resources—one family at a time.

What to Expect
At Whole Motion Therapy & Wellness, every visit is centered around you and your individual goals. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, our approach combines personalized care, practical strategies, and guidance you can use beyond the therapy session.
  • Individualized Assessment: We look beyond symptoms to understand movement patterns, contributing factors, and areas that may benefit from improvement.
  • Personalized Treatment: Receive one-on-one care using therapeutic techniques selected to meet your needs and support your functional goals.
  • Therapeutic Play for Children: Learn fun, purposeful play strategies that encourage movement, coordination, strength, and developmental progress while making learning enjoyable.
  • Everyday Movement & Body Mechanics: Gain practical guidance to improve movement patterns, posture, body mechanics, and confidence with everyday activities.
  • Ongoing Guidance & Support: Have access to professional guidance between visits when questions arise, so you feel supported as you work toward your goals.
At Whole Motion Therapy & Wellness, we believe meaningful progress happens when care extends beyond the treatment session. Our goal is to empower individuals and families with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to keep moving forward.

You've spent weeks teaching your child to ask before taking a toy and to wait for their turn. Then, at the playground, another child walks up and grabs the toy right out of their hands. Do you tell your child to share, step in, or ask for the toy back? It's a surprisingly tricky parenting moment. Let's talk about teaching kindness without teaching our children to give up their boundaries.

Do you accept insurance?

Hello and thank you for considering my cash-based physical therapy services. I want to highlight a few reasons why choosing a cash-based model might be beneficial for you compared to traditional insurance-based clinics.
Firstly, with a cash-based approach, you have more control over your treatment plan. Instead of being restricted by insurance policies and pre-determined sessions, we can tailor your therapy to meet your specific needs and goals.
Secondly, the direct payment model eliminates the need for complicated billing processes. In insurance-based clinics, there's often a lot of paperwork, and your treatment may be dictated by what the insurance company deems necessary. With my cash-based services, we can focus on what's best for you without those constraints.
Moreover, by choosing a cash-based physical therapist, you are investing directly in your well-being. This model allows for a more personalized and attentive experience, as we can spend more time together during sessions.
I understand that healthcare costs can be a concern, and that's why I provide a superbill for each session. This document contains all the necessary information for you to submit a claim to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. While I can't guarantee reimbursement, many of my clients have successfully received partial coverage for my services.
By opting for a cash-based approach, you're making an investment in your health and receiving a level of care that is focused solely on your needs. If you have any questions or concerns about the process or reimbursement, I'm here to assist you every step of the way.
